An apology, and an announcement

I'd like to apologize to all the readers whose emails have gone unanswered over the past months. Although I have read each and every one of them, I haven't had time to respond in a timely fashion.

My excuse: pregnancy. I'm almost 8 months pregnant with a little girl (EDD: 9.2.06) and am trying to complete a draft of a novel before she makes her grand debut. This in addition to my regular freelancing gigs for the Times and CourtTV. It's been a struggle with pregnancy-related fatigue and discomforts setting in, and I'm trying to make as much progress as possible on the good days. This means less time time spent emailing.

I hope you understand. Above all, I want to reassure you that I love getting notes from readers and save each one in a special file on my computer. I also hope that I'll eventually have time/energy to write everyone back.

Julia,

I read your book yesterday -- cover to cover in one sitting. Since then I have been emailing everyone I can think of including: Amnesty Interational, the National Council of Churches, New Horizons Youth Ministeries,, child protection advocate Andrew Vachss, Lafayette Christian Reformed Church, and every institution whose logo appears on the webpage of "New Horizon Youth Ministery." I'm trying to think who else should be alerted.

These people need to be stopped and punished, immediately.

Right now they are still in business, and still abusing children with the financial backing of parents and churches.

You never deserved this. NO ONE deserves to be treated the way you and David were.

Do you think it is even POSSIBLE to revoke someone's baptism? ROFLMAO What do they think this is, Star Trek??

Peace to you -- and...to them --
I resolve to continue to fight the MONSTER you book illuminates so well. Bad monster. Ugly, evil people.
